The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician who will be responsible for ensuring our consulting processes and solutions adhere to company and market standards, organizing end user product feature documentation, performing QA testing, and documenting new features. You will work with the Technical Delivery Manager, Director of Software Development and development team to ensure product features meet customer needs, and provide the marketing team with how-to content. Day-to-day tasks will be focused on testing newly developed features, writing easy-to-use guides for complex business automation features, and exploring use cases on existing features to update end user documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop customer-facing product documentation such as release notes and how-to documentation
  • Write test cases for features in development and execute tests
  • Document the results of testing, providing feedback to the development team and change request owners
  • Write customer communications for product releases highlighting new features and their value to the customer
  • Configure product features to capture illustrative screenshots and provide visual content to the Marketing team for end user communications
  • Independently run testing scenarios to confirm and document use cases and expected functionality for existing features and edge cases
  • Review existing feature documentation to update it according to the current product capabilities, recommend changes to the organization of how-to documentation to improve feature discoverability for customers

What you’ll bring:

  • 1-3 years of technical writing, quality assurance, or relevant experience
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts into concise and simple text
  • Methodical approach to testing considering expected use cases and edge cases
  • Ability to understand features from a customer’s point of view to create written documentation, visual content, and perform test cases highlighting their interests in each feature
  • Time management skills to balance priorities of testing changes in development against creating valuable documentation for new and existing features
