The Opportunity

As our customer base grows, we are looking to bring on a front end (JS) developer with an eye for UX/UI design to join the full stack development team. You would lend your skills to the numerous features on our product roadmap and bring to life a variety of web experiences for our consulting clients. In our horizontal structure, you would report directly to the founder, and collaborate with other developers, our client-facing consultants, and the product team. We want a developer who is excited to learn new skills to develop custom features using simple, smart coding practices. Someone who will participate as the front-end specialist in defining the best solution. A developer who is results driven and is passionate about how their work will be used by the customer. Motivated and collaborative, someone who does not wait for requirements to be decided by others, and prefers to get things done over being bound to strict processes. A developer who cares about usability and the aesthetic of the work we deliver, relying on experience and outside inspiration to make the best decisions for UI of the products we build.

Responsibilities:

Propose technical designs from communicated business requirements and/or wireframes
Develop simple designs for complex functions
Collaborate with consultants and the product team in an agile environment
Iterate on designs based on feedback
Work with back-end developers to make sure that features are delivered to satisfy customer needs
Develop clean, fast and user-friendly web software, write unit tests

What you’ll bring:

2+ years experience in front-end development or equivalent experience and expertise with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; design experience considered an asset
