The Opportunity
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely posting of transactions in the accounting system
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP/ASPE
- Manage accounts payable, expense tracking, and payment processing
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, including VAT, GST, and corporate tax filings
- Work closely with auditors during internal and external audits
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization
- Posting of payroll transactions and other employee costs in GL
- Support financial reporting for management and investors
- Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies and fraud
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control
- Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and tax regulations
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel)
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft skills
- Ability to function effectively with Google Workspace
